A hospital radio service is very important in giving patients, both long and short term a degree of normality during their stay.

We at Rugby Hospital Radio provide this service by broadcasting a wide variety of music to suit all tastes, young and old together with news, current affairs, drama and comedy programmes.   All our members are volunteers from different backgrounds who have come together with the common aim of providing this service.

The thought of broadcasting may seem a little frightening to some, so it may come as a surprise to learn that the most of our presenters had no broadcasting experience before joining us.   In fact, with proper training, almost anyone can soon learn how to present a good radio programme.   Even if you don't think broadcasting is for you, don't worry, there are lots of other important ways you can help, for example, collecting requests from wards and fund raising.
