Elvis Uncharted Wins Gold!
Rugby Hospital Radio crowned gold for a second time!
Like Father Like Son, this time son Phil Smith receives Gold for his 2006 series Elvis Uncharted which can be heard on Rugby Hospital Radio every Saturday afternoon at 4:30pm.
During 2005 father Iain had been awarded joint gold first for his one off special "Dream Lover, Mack The Knife & Things - The Bobby Darin Story".
Phil was awarded Gold in the specialist music category at the Hospital Broadcasting Association Gala Awards held in Northampton on Saturday March 31st. Phil was presented with a trophy and scooped a prize of £200 for Rugby Hospital Radio.
In the Award winning programme Phil plays Elvis's album tracks, B sides and rarities but not the UK hits.
